With its deep red and purple hues, this wine has complex aromas of new French and American oak complementing blackcurrant and berry fruit characters. You can taste intense flavours, with hints of ripe plums, red capsicum and liquorice.
A classic blend of; 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot, the fruit used to create this wine was sourced from a vineyard in Middleton on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Harvest was undertaken in two parcels with the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot being machine picked while the Petit Verdot was hand picked and fermented as whole bunches. The grapes were co-fermented in shallow open bins and plunged regularly before pressing out at dryness.
